My wife and I stayed 6 nights recently as part of a SA trip. Although very encouraged by the excellent reviews, I was a little concerned that it would live up to its reputation - but it did. The hotel consists of 2 buildings #48 and #52 De Wet Road, set on a cliffside amongst some very expensive private properties.... more

As indicated by the other reviews, Les Cascades is truly heavenly. We loved Room 1 - a spacious, stylish suite that also offers a beautiful panoramic view across the bay. The hotel is very chic, we loved the decor and the impeccable service, Willie and the team take great care of your needs. The complimentary drinks offered add a very... more

There is just one word to describe Les Cascades on 52 and that is STUNNING. This property on "millionaires’ mile" in Bantry Bay could grace the pages of any exclusive travel brochure. The decor is very contemporary and it's quite obvious that no expense has been spared in fitting out the property. From the huge beds, copious wardrobe space, plush... more

Navigating the narrow, hilly roads to Les Cascades, I was dismayed at the distance of the hotel from the city center. It was our first trip to South Africa, our honeymoon, and we were getting further and further into an exclusive, residential neighborhood (that reminds me of our own Berkeley Hills, to be honest). I was getting annoyed with our... more

Cascades is Els, the Belgian owner (and Luc who was in Italy when we stayed there) and her magnificent staff. Cascades is unique design (our appartment on 52 was breathtaking), style and athmosphere. It's also fresh, crisp and warm. The facilities are beyond 5 star standards. The dinner is fabulous. There are many fine things in Cape Town, but this... more

On arrival we were given a glass of Champagne and chocolate cake! After a long flight, to arrive in this idyllic haven was perfect for the first day of our honeymoon. Beautiful split level room with a large balcony overlooking the pool and ocean with a massive bed with lovely crisp sheets. Fantastic breakfast with the best orange juice, staff... more

I love a nice boutique hotel as much as the next girl, but rarely do I actually feel like I want to move in permanently, until we arrived at Cascades. It's quite hard to find and unassuming from the outside, but as you enter the front door you're met with a stunning view of Bantry Bay and also by some... more

This hotel was initially booked as a "filler" to a busy itinery staying at pretty much 5 star hotels in Cape Town and Durban culminating at the incredible Phinda game reserve. It was a Mr & Mrs Smith (.com) recommended boutique hotel and after reading the reviews on here, i have to admit i was a little nervous Upon arrival,... more
