We will go back, it's a matter of when. The experience was wonderful for us. (2 adults and 3 kids.) Clean friendly safe with one of the best beaches we have experienced. Great place to stop out of Cape Town and start the Garden Route. Steps to the beach and return to a fantastic dinner. Stayed 2 nights.... not enough.... more

We found a picture of the Sunset Beach House in an interior magazine and fell in love with it. That's where we wanted to stay. We (28 and 26 years) stayed there for 2 nights at the end of our 3 weeks South Africa roundtrip - it was the best choice we could ever made! The photos are far from the truth. We found the place to be drab and neglected. The food was so-so, but the wines great. I would advise the owners to upgrade the management. They made it feel like some third-rate establishment. Service was exceptionally bad. At the astronomic prices they charge, the service should be first-class. We could have gotten... more

Loved it here, really a great get away, far from the main tourist areas, so a great honeymoon or couples place. Stunning location right on the beach, lovely guest house which is beautifully decorated in beach house style!! So peaceful, the chef was really great, preparing wonderful fresh meals for the handful of guests. If you like to feel alone... more
