Johan & Maria are excellent hosts!!! They spoiled us rotten during our 4 night stay. I still dream of that fig preserve I had there. The location is perfect, on a quiet street near the ocean in Bantry Bay. An easy walk to Clifton beach and near public transportation to the Waterfront if needed. The rooms are nice and comfy... more
Johan and Maria are excellent hosts of their very nice and comfortable bed and breakfast located in a central and nice area of Cape Town. The rooms are all recently renovated and have baths ensuite. Their rate for a single are very reasonable (about $70 a night), and their breakfast is very tasty. more
We stayed at this guesthouse for almost a week. Maria and Johan were excellent hosts, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were large and very nicely presented. The Avanti Guesthouse is gem! Beautiful home, each room has its own private bath, secure wall safe, and (sometimes shared) exterior porch or patio. The owners really knock themselves out to ensure their guests are satisfied, and treat you like one of the family.
