Met at the airport, home made cakes and tea on arrival and the most lovely bedroom with super comfy bed - what more could you ask for ?. You are instantly made to feel one of the family and at home. Nothing is too much trouble for Stuart or Beatte from booking restaurants, calling taxis and getting you up Table... more

I went to Cape Town mainly to go cagediving with great white sharks, so I didn't know all that much about the city and sights. But the staff at Acorn House gave me great tips and advice, and really made my stay in Cape Town even better than I hoped. The guest house is a beautiful house, well kept, clean... more

Stunning little place pretty much right in the heart of Cape Town. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff - who make it their ultimate priority to make sure that you're looked after. The breath taking surroundings (table mountain, lions head and devils peak) are a lovely bonus (you can see the mountains from pretty much every angle from acorn house) I... more

We spent four nights at Acorn House and loved it. The service was exceptional. Upon arrival after 24 hours of travel, we were greeted by Stewart and a much needed glass of wine. The accomodations were very comfortable and pretty. Arrangements were made for, airport pick up, a driver, internet access, dinner reservations, laundry, and more. Everything we could ask... more

We stayed at the Acorn House for 15 days and had a fantastic time. The breakfast buffet is extraordinary and a bit different every day (e.g. a fish day offers smoked salmon and other smoked fish, on other days the hosts' German roots are on display with delicious German sausage and spreads), eggs freshly made any way you like. After... more

This is a beautifully designed old guesthouse in the Orangejiit area of Cape Town. The hosts Bernd and Beatte were attentive and helpful and obviously cared a lot about the experience we had in Cape Town. The location is excellent being just under the buffs of Table mountain and within a 15 minute walk(downhill) of the city centre. The rooms... more
