We just spent two nights at the Wild at Heart B&B and absolutely loved it. This place should be ranked number 1 in Hermanus for sure.
The room was great with a lovely 4 poster bed and very big balcony. The rooms and house are decorated beautifully and there's a big lounge to relax in.
John and Vikki are wonderful hosts who will make you feel right at home and have tons of advise for things to do in the area. Follow their advise on where to go whale watching. You will not be disappointed :)
Breakfast is the best we had in our 3 week stay in SA. Freshly squeezed OJ, home baked muffins, strawberry bruschetta's on raisin bread, croissants, and of course the omelets etc. If you're planning to stay in the area we heartily recommend Wild at Heart! more

We ended up a WIld at Heart because of a double booking at the place we originally planned to stay at....and it was such a wonderful experience! Of all the B and Bs we stayed at in South Africa, this was the cleaniest, most accomodating and well run. Vikki and her husband did a great job setting up the B and B. There is a separate on-site cottage and rooms in the main house. There is even an honesty bar, great patio and lounge to hang out it. It was walking distance (about 7 mins) to a beautiful beach- which was actually nicer than the main (and more crowded) beaches in Hermanus. It was also a 5 min walk to some great hiking trails. The breakfast was delicious and the owners went out of their way to set up tours for us.
