We are a couple of early UK retirees liking to travel and stay in unostentatious interesting luxury and we liked Tsitikamma Lodge. It wasn’t top-end luxury but it doesn’t pretend to be and it was good, interesting, different, good value and exceeded our expectations. Its location is very handy for Storms River (although from the point of view of an... more

We wanted a place to sleep on our way round the Garden Route, and choose this. Not bad, clean and good rooms, but there was roadworks which mean it took ages to get there. Beautiful area with lots of adventure stuff like white water tubing and swinging through trees on ropes. more

My husband and I stayed here as part of our honeymoon, and it was a vile place to stay. As it was out of season we were booking our accomdation as we went along and this lodge was recommended to us. We should have looked into it more before booking it. So we rang ahead to see about availability and... more

The lodge is beautiful & extremely cozy. It is best for honeymooners. The chalets & cottages are so beautifully made that it gives you a feel of a honeymoon. The spa is also great out here. Not to forget the food which is extremely tasty. more

Stayed at the Lodge in April 09 and from the five hotels we stayed at during out tour, this was the one we liked least. The lodges were OK but in need of a facelift - the private spa pool was actually a spa bath and the barbeque facilities was a barbeque in front of the lodge entrance. The food... more

Stayed for 1 night and it was lovely to have your own lodge. Grounds are really nice. Breakfast was super. BBQ for each lodge so can cook your own dinner. Nearest town (Storms River) is 15 Kilometres away and would not so much call this a town but a gathering of guest houses! Lots to do in the area so... more

We stayed for three nights. The accommodation was excellent - spacious, comfortable and with a lovely view over the grounds. The buffet was terrific, though I would have liked more choices for pudding. We did the Striptease Walk from the Lodge, up the river into the mountains, which was very hard-going - but worth it. Certainly not a walk for... more

We stayed for one night during a 15 night trip from Cape Town to Shamwari in the Eastern Cape. It was a novel way to spend one night but I don't think I'd like to spend much more time there as it wasn't as nice as some of our other hotels. We had one of the honeymoon suites and it... more

We spent a couple of nights here as part of our honeymoon - trip along the garden route. It's in fantastic location, very peaceful and minutes from the Storms River mouth (well as long as there's not roadworks, when it can take twice as long to get anywhere...!) The lodge was great... it made a nice change to be in... more
