We found the owners and staff particularly friendly but unfortunately we booked our room over the internet and ended up with room 9. When we got there we didn't consider this room to be very suitable for couples. It's situated above the dining area and next to/overlooking the back of a garage where car repairs are carried out ,we were... More

Enjoyed our one night stay, great hosts, good breakfast, good value for money and overall a memorable experience. The lodges are great, the Victorian bath was bliss! Location is perfect to walk to the main centre of town.

Two nights here in February. Good location, car parking, very helpful staff, great breakfast, excellent wifi signal, comfortable beds. As with other reviews we had a slight issue with ants in the room but after a spray everything was fine. Our room was a good size but the the bathroom was quite small and dimly lit. The timber lodges are... More

Spent 1 night at this lovely little place while passing through Knysna driving on the Garden Route. The location is convenient, on the main road, easily accessible. The room we had was nice, with a lot of character, a comfy bed and everything we needed. Only downside about the room was the slightly moldy smell/feel. We think the carpet everywhere... More

I stayed 3 nights with my wife and loved the feel of his place. Service was top notch, activities were booked on our behalf and rooms were comfortable. We stayed in two rooms, first honeymoon suite Room 6 then room 1. Actually preferred Room 1. There was some road noise and an issue with Ants (do not leave food out!)... More

We stayed there in July '12 for one night and absolutely loved it. The owners Riaan and Helen were very welcoming and were very informative about what was available in and around the area. The lodge has a great natural feeling with the rooms being constructed out wood, the gardens are a well kept jungle and there are great art/decor... More

We had a wonderful experience at the lodge, the room was very comfortable and the hosts Riaan and Helen went out of their way to accommodate our needs and expectations. I would suggest their lodge to anyone who heads in that direction. And remember this quote "Friday is Braai day!

I picked Knysna as the only stop on the Garden Route where I would stay two nights and so I wanted to be somewhere a bit more comfortable. Inyathi totally fit the bill. I stayed in a twin lodge with a verandah with a nice porch swing. The beds were comfortable with good quality linen etc and there was a... More

We found this on the internet and were immediately struck by its unique accommodation. The Inyathi is a collection of self contained timber buildings which are built to give the impression of being in a Game Lodge within lovely gardens. The accommodation was very good with full facilities and a very comfortable bed. The hosts were extremely friendly and made... More

Ok for backpackers or lower priced tourists but unfortunately this place did not give a good reflection of knysna. Gardens are nice and rooms clean enough but compared to other places stayed it doesn't deliver. Better half counted trucks during the night - not a good sign. Both thought 20 great olds would think it great. Just not a good... More
