We were booked into Lake Pleasant Living as part of a fly-drive tour of South Africa. It was sold to us as 5 star luxury accommodation, but the reality was far from the expectation. In a beautiful setting overlooking an amazing lake, Lake Pleasant I'm afraid, is looking a little tired..... This place would have been amazing 10 years ago, but all in all, there's a little faded grandeur about the place - rooms have generic cherrywood furniture that is scratched, carpets are old, actually everything is old. This hotel was reccomended by Siyabona Travel. Nice setting on a picturesque lake approxamatly 3 miles from Knysna. Very large, comfortable rooms. Ours had a balcony overlooking the lake.
