This charming B&B has an incredible view from Knysna Bay. The manager Vanessa is always ready to give informations about the city and the Garden Route. I forgot my money and documents in the safe box and she called to my next stop to say that I had forgot my things. The breakfast is good. We can choose between the... More

A huge room and luxury bathroom with a magnificent view of Knysna Lagoon ......................what more could you want? Well, at the end of a very long journey, a meal would be good - Vanessa had thought of that and tentatively booked us a table at a great restaurant. Good service and a great breakfast .............all taken care of. Attention to... More

Before getting to the top of the mountain, where the Blue Oyster is situated, we were (once again) frustrated by the lack of power of our rental car... but this frustration was quickly overruled by the stunning, breathtaking view on the lagoon of Knysna. Furthermore, the owner is very friendly and helpful and provides you with all information about excursions,... More

By the time we reached Knysna we had almost forgotten why we chose Blue Oyster so the glorious view nearly came as a wonderful surprise. This view is stunning at all times of day. The garden and pool area were really restful and shady on a particularly hot afternoon when the need for cooling down was strong. All the small... More

We stayed there over Christmas. The place was even more beautiful than the pictures on the website. The room was just gorgeous - up to every little detail. The view of the lagoon is just breathtaking. The service was perfect, the breakfast was delicious, the staff very helpful and very friendly. The Blue Oyster is the perfect stop on the... More

I stayed over for new years and found the mykonos room to be a great place to view the fireworks, flares and lanterns going up for the celebrations. There is no better view of knysna. The pool was just right to cool off after the long drive and the breakfast was great! More

If you wish to wake up in the monring with a breath taking view of the Bay and teh sunrise, this is the place! Very friendly and helpful staff and with only four rooms you are sure to get that cosy, almost home feeling. Having done 7 stops so far back and forth on the Garden route this is still... More

The Blue Oyster is the perfect place to stay on route between Cape Town and Port Elzabeth. The room was so comfortable with everything you could ask for in a B and B and complete with lovely touches such as scented candles, aromatherpy bubble bath and hand picked lavender from the garden. The views were breathtaking, the breakfasts were delicious... More
