We stayed here 2 nights during our Garden route - Cape Town trip. The grounds and gardens are nice, the rooms are comfortable (a bit over furnished for our taste) and the bathrooms very nice, especially the outdoor shower. The staff were very nice and welcoming, gave us an overview of the area and suggested a number of activities. The... More

We wanted to see the Caves and the Ostriches and this was the perfect spot to stay. We were upgraded to a beautiful room with an outside shower (and a luxurious bathroom with shower as well). Staff were most helpful and friendly. So much to see and explore at the farm and surrounding areas.

Paula, We had 3 cabins at your lake, too bad we stayed only 1 night, we loved it so much and wished to stay longer. Firewood for the grill was well prepared, sitting on the little patio with a glass of wine and ostrich fillet made the evening a perfect one. Kitchen, Bedroom, Livingroom all great for a Cabin. The lodge is situate just outside the town of Outdshoorn, itself on route 62. It's a peaceful oasis of good taste with crisp desert views, great pool area, nice garden area and beautiful rooms. The rooms in the main house are stylishly decorated in colonial style. There is a lot to do in this little place (caves, waterfalls, ostrich farms,... More

We only stayed for a single night in one of the lake cabins before driving to Knysna. The location is a few km from the town though this is not really a drawback. It also requires a bit of dirt road driving though nothing problematic. The breakfast was ok though not a highlight. There's decent WiFi but is a confined... More

We booked to stay here purely for the Meerkat Adventure. The hotel is clean and comfortable, however, compared to others on this holiday, it had a lot to live up to. One thing to note is the walls were thin and a couple of times during the night our sleep was disturbed by talking and alarms going off. What I... More

We stayed in one of the lake cabins, unfortunately only for one night, but absolutely loved it! This is quite a while ago now, but we still think of this highly romantic place. We loved sitting on the little veranda overlooking the lake, reading or drinking a glass of good wine. The wooden cabins are quite rustic but nicely decorated.... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at De Zeekoe. Our room was a good size with balcony looking out over open countryside. The outside shower was a great bonus, we didn't use the one inside! Food very good, staff helpful and friendly. Situated a few miles outside Oudtshoorn might be a problem for some but for us the peace... More

This is a great place to stay exploring the Garden Route and Route 62. We were traveling off the coast and were amazed by the mountain scenery that Outdshoorn met us with. We stayed here for 2 nights and were upgraded to Room 13, with its own terrace and lovely views, outside shower too.
