Eikendal certainly has a lot going for it.....as you drive throught the vineyards to reach the lodge, you know you're right in the heart of wine country. It's a purpose built lodge, so although the welcome was very warm, we found the rooms to be a little sterile; clean and functional, rather than cosy and inviting. The cheap laminate flooring... more

This is a perfect place to explore Stellenbosch and the Winelands.Perfect peace . Marvellous views over the vineyards and mountains from your private terrace.Excellent comfort and space in the bedrooms and wonderful service from Leonie and all her team.We will return. more

Leonie and her staff are a breath of fresh air! There is simply no limit to the extent of their hospitality. Their friendliness and charm are refreshing and welcoming and I will be going there again - any future trips to South Africa will be incomplete without staying there for a few nights to recharge. I found this Lodge through the sa-venues.com website. It is a beautiful quiet, well-located place in its own substantial vineyard with excellent wines, which are so reasonable it is embarrassing.
