We arrived early in the morning as we had a wine tour booked so we were able to leave our luggage and car at the guesthouse. The staff were very friendly and offered us tea and muffins by the pool. When we arrived later after our wine tour (tsiba tsiba tours - great!) our luggage was in our room. The... more

Spotless guest house with the most charming and helpful owners in Michael and Noeline. Secure parking, excellent breakfast. Owners provide excellent advice and booking service for restaurants and wine tasting trips. Ten minute walk into centre for restaurants - perfectly safe - ignore comments to contrary. more

This place is a good value stay if you plan to be out a lot going round vineyards, eating, etc. Not a place where you would do much other than sleep. Rooms are nice and clean with good bathrooms, but the service was not as good as other establishments. I also found the location a bit offputting, as it is... more

When we arrived there was freashly baked muffins and the most devine carrot cake I have ever eaten. The rooms were perfect, with crisp white linen and fluffy fresh snow white towels. The attention to detail was fantastic, even to the little fridge in the room full of wonderful goodies and not at exorbitant prices. Not to mention the homebaked... more

This was our second trip to Stellenbosch and formed part of our honeymoon so we wanted to stay somewhere that put us close to town but also in luxurious setting and this guesthouse fit the bill on paper so we booked it... we were not disappointed The Guesthouse is situated just off the R44 just North West of the main... more

Stayed here with my GF and 2 other friends for 4 nights. Like a 4 star hotel only better. Great breakfast, and Michael the owner was an amazing host (wineries, restaurants, etc). Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Don't look elsewhere, excellent value too. more

A last minute decision to visit Stellenbosch for the night was met with a friendly telephone response from Michael, who kindly and without hesitation offered a reduced rate for a last minute booking. Warmly met on arrival and our party of four were made to feel immediately welcome. No problem drinking our own wine around the very pleasant pool area,... more

We stayed at Apple Tree for one night. We thought the location was fine and enjoyed our 15min walk to the old part of town. We didn't feel unsafe whatsoever. The honesty bar was very nice. The set up of the rooms and/or the thickness of the door is questionable because we could hear everything the minute that people started... more

I stayed with my husband and 4 friends at the Apple Tree Guest House for 3 nights in June. We all enjoyed our stay very much. The guest house is beautifully maintained and comfortable; our rooms were comfortable and in first class order as were the bathrooms. Breakfasts were excellent and very well presented. Noeline and Michael were very welcoming... more

I spent eight nights at The Apple Tree Guest House and was more than comfortable. The room had everything a traveller would need. So comfortable and stylish as well as extremely clean. A full bathroom with bath and shower and the most hospitable owners. To Noeline and Michael a big "Thank you for your hospitality". I will most certainly recommend... more
