Having read positive reviews, I reserved by email (100 € for one night, quite high for Portugal). This reservation was confirmed by the hotel. When we arrived, at 5:30, we found the address without difficulty, right in the town centre. But the door was closed! No sign of life, not even a message displayed. Half an hour later we rang again. Another person was waiting, too. But nobody opened. So we left, to look for another hotel ... more

We stay at casa amarela in December and it was a wonderful experience, Casa Amarela it´s a charming 17th century townhouse, now a beautifully restored small hotel. With just 8 double rooms and 2 suites, all differently decorated, it is a perfect place from which to explore the fascinating town and surrounding areas.
