Having read positive reviews, I reserved by email (100 € for one night, quite high for Portugal). This reservation was confirmed by the hotel. When we arrived, at 5:30, we found the address without difficulty, right in the town centre. But the door was closed! No sign of life, not even a message displayed. We stay at casa amarela in December and it was a wonderful experience, Casa Amarela it´s a charming 17th century townhouse, now a beautifully restored small hotel. With just 8 double rooms and 2 suites, all differently decorated, it is a perfect place from which to explore the fascinating town and surrounding areas. more
