3 stars is not meaning a bad experience by any means in fact it was very pleasant indeed, it did exactly what it was meant to do for the price paid at this time of year. Staff were mainly friendly, rooms were kept very clean, shower was excellent and bed was fine. Drinks and extras could have been a bit cheaper and there is certainly no fridge or safe in the room as advertised they along with aircon come at another added price. The pool is lovely but the loungers around it are very cramped, this time of year ok would hate to be around it in August!! And breakfast was fine and heard good reports about the evenings food.

We love oludeniz and come every year and have stayed in many hotels. This time we wanted to be nearer the strip and decided to opt for half board which is why this hotel was chosen. Firstly I assumed because I had booked the superior room that it would have a fridge in...that was not the case if I wanted a fridge then I would have to pay 15 pound for five days secondly being half board I except that we only get drinks with our breakfast and 1 when eating dinner however this was not the case. We got tea coffee and juice for breakfast but dinner if we wanted a drink with our meal we had to pay. Being half board we wanted to buy drinks and snacks from the shop and keep it in our fridge however there were signs saying everywhere no food or drink from outside to be consumed on the property which is ridiculous. If that's the case then why offer people a fridge at all Our room was supose to be a superior room ..I'm not sure what was superior about it. Yes I have to say it was clean but it was basic and looked slightly bigger than the standard rooms. It said the superior rooms were looking over the pool ..well my room looked over a car park with no sign of the pool in sight. The pool area was jam packed with sunbeds all close together so you were squashed in like sardines with no space in between beds. This was off putting to say the least. The pool was refreshing in the heat however it looked shabby and wasn't very well maintained. As for the food it was basic.. cearal and toast and fruit for breakfast. As well as serving chicken nuggets and chips for breakfast. Dinner was bland rice and chicken or beef in a running looking sauce. Thank god for the strip and the amazing restaurants down there....its actually a real shame because the location alone would nake this hotel a great option for many but with the snack menu being so over priced and lack of attention to detail it's a shambles yet with more care to rooms menu prices and an upgrade round the pool it actually could be a little gold mine. Unfortunately I won't return to this hotel but I love oludeniz so I will stay else where. If you don't mind ruffing it and are happy to go self catering then maybe stay for the location but remember you can't bring any food or drink back so if you wake in the night and are thirsty that's just too bad. Don't waste your money choose another hotel..

Had the best time, me and the Mrs on our first holiday without the kids. We stayed in the standard room which was basic but very clean. The best thing about this hotel though is the staff. They made us feel like we had been freinds for years, George (customer services) and Mustapha (Bar) couldn't do more for us also the younger service staff and maids were excellent and worked they're socks off to make sure everything was great. an we will be coming back next year with the whole of the family 100%. The food they serve in the restaurant is as good as the local ones down the strip. The Turkish night which was £20pp included a 3 course meal and 4 different shows. Most of the guests we spoke too during our stay were returning customers. Thank you for a great Holiday 👍

Just got back from this hotel very disappointed with the overall service ..the receptionist had the worst attitude for someone that is customer facing ....had to pay 30.00 for a fridge and 30.00 for a safe that is not even in the room we had paid extra for deluxe apparently just means a bigger room ....the room smelt of damp and sewerage beds were 2 singles pushed together and was like sleeping on a slab of concrete..there was blood on bathroom floor was from when we arrived and was there when we left. An older couple than ourselves had BED BUGS in there room there bodies had been eaten alive and had to pay 50.00 for antibiotic injections Hotel not bothered.Would not go back to this hotel and would not recommend to my worst enemy.Steer well clear

Nice little hotel. Basic room but clean and well looked after by the cleaner. Breakfast basic Turkish breakfast with a reasonable choice. Staff are very friendly. Watch out for Omar the "rep" he pounces on you on the first day hes a character who will try and sell you excursions. We did book a boat trip with him and paid a little bit more than on the strip, however it was one of the best boat trips we have ever had in Turkey, he promised no over crowding and delivered. The boat itself was excellent. Oludeniz has always been more expensive than other resorts but was noticeably dearer this year. Great 10 days away!

When we first arrived we weren’t too impressed however it was early hours of morning . We were situated 3 rooms on the basement floor rooms 120,121,124. Balcony’s of 2 rooms overlooked run down garden area . However rooms were clean and basic and bathroom was clean so we kind of grew to like the rooms we had. One room had a problem with ants which wasn’t helped by biscuits etc being thrown in the garden area . People do slam doors here unnecessarily at all hours so we had a few night’s disturbed sleep. Pool area nice sunloungers a bit crammed together and the towel brigade are out full force most beds taken by 8 ish in the morning. Breakfast very basic not much fresh fruit and no yoghurt or pastrys . Every day there was a chef doing either omelette or pancakes. Pool bar food nice and they come round with lovely cakes and icecreams if u want to buy by the pool . Staff very friendly. Safe is old style in reception u have the key and open it along with a master key . Cleaners very good and friendly . We would return if it came up on a good deal but there are plenty other nice hotels in olu deniz .

My wife, my daughter and I recently returned from our stay at this hotel. My wife and I had previously stayed here in 2011. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Our room was basic but had air con which was vital as it was super hot when we were there. George and his staff worked extremely hard and extremely long hours to look after their guests. Breakfast was plentiful and there was always fresh fruit and salad. We had lunch a few times and really enjoyed the Turkish night out on by the hotel. Prices for food and drink were very reasonable and compared to other areas. A big shout out to Mustafa who we had actually met on our first visit., who took his time to make us feel welcome and was a big hit with my daughter who said he was her favourite barman.

First time back to this hotel after five years, and it didn't disappoint. Though most of the staff were different our experience was still fantastic. It's a basic hotel but has everything you need. Breakfast has bread/toast with a selection of jams and spreads. Olives, salad, eggs, fresh fruit, ham, cheese and cereals. Also fresh cooked omelettes or fried eggs daily, occasionally swapped for fresh cooked pancakes which my kids loved. Pool area busy though we always managed to get sunbeds even on the days we got up later with the children. It's a great base to explore from too being just at the top of the strip and near a taxi rank. Didn't find the bar or restaurant over priced at all, was on par and compared to some places cheaper in my experience. Staff really lovely, especially George, Ismail, Mustafa and Sibel. Rooms kept lovely and clean and a decent size. Safes are in reception which I prefer as means there is always someone keeping an eye on them as reception is staffed 24 hours. Aircon in the room was great and kept us cool during the heatwave. overall a fantastic little hotel, that we would definitely return to.

First time in Olu Deniz and the hotel was a great location on top of the main strip, close enough to everything but not on top of it. The hotel was lovely but unfortunately there were sunbed issues which became an almost daily annoyance. There were some small signs saying not to reserve sunbeds but these were ignored by guests and staff as we noticed the majority of the beds were taken by the time we came for breakfast. This wouldn’t be such a problem if they were being used but often there was no one on a lot of them for the whole day. We assumed people put them out early so tried doing the same but some days all the beds were taken by 7am. We didn’t want to resort to putting them out the night before but after seeing towels out when we got back in the nights it was if you can’t beat them, join them. On days when people couldn’t find any sunbeds, staff kindly found extra but this made the pool area crowded and still lots of beds with only towels and not people. Fortunately this was the only problem we found at the hotel and we enjoyed our stay. We booked a deluxe room which was just up the steps from the pool so a little away from any noise, not that the pool area was too noisy in the day or night. It was a big room with lots of space and a lovely bathroom with a good shower. Cleaners did a great job although no one came for the first 4 days but after this the room was cleaned everyday and towels changed often. Staff were great, George and Ismail always greeted us and were helpful. Other than the sunbeds it was a lovely hotel for our holiday and I would recommend to anyone looking at Olu Deniz.

Room Tip: Try getting a sunbed early as they were taken quickly. Deluxe rooms up from the pool were great.

Just finished another 2 weeks at the Blue Lagoon, and as always it was great. From the moment we arrived, all the staff were helpful, friendly and attentive. Big thanks to George, Mustafa and Ismail and their teams for looking after us - even been learning some basic Turkish from Ismail! I’ve seen a few pretty damming reviews about this place, but in the 8 years we’ve been coming here we have never had any of the problems reported, any minor issues we may have had have been addressed when we have spoken to the team. The rooms are always clean, food at the hotel is great and there’s also a huge selection of top restaurants a few minutes walk away if you want to eat out. Already thinking about our next holiday here.
