From other reviews, I was expecting somewhere basic, but at least friendly and clean. I was disapppointed. On the up-side, the place is well-located for exploring BA and they are security conscious. However, the room and bathroom were filthy and I found that the staff were (with only one exception) rude and unhelpful. I have no doubt that there are... more

We came to BA after being on a bus for 20 hours and found out that this hostel was a haven! The dorms were full, and they didn´t want to split us up into seperate dorms, so they gave us a nice private room at a very good rate. The hostel had very helpful staff, we met loads of people... more

My Age: 24 The artfactory hostel is appropriately named and definitely felt more like a boutique hostel. Pros: - Awesome San Telmo location, centrally located between Calle Defensa/San Telmo Market, Avenida Mayo, several cheap restaurants and an awesome bakery just a block away. - Breakfast was plentiful. Coffee/juice throughout the day and a pay-as-you-go fridge with cheaper-than-market prices on water/soda/beer.... more

I stayed for a week at the art factory hostel. The location was great, I didn´t have to cacht a bus or metro, everything was walking distance (except palermo) The staff was friendly and helpfull. Breakfast was nice, with fruits and cereals. I had a big room with a really comfy bed, great decoration. One night a bbq was organized... more

The garden house is a great place to stay in buenos Aires! The decorations on every wall make it a warm and funny place, Each room is decorated differently. As it is very hot in summer we have a fan in the room to make it more comfortable. Anyway, staying in the living room is very pleasant due to the... more

Reception staff were lovely and very helpful with excellent English but the other hotel staff were rude and surly and made a lot of noise early in the morning. The majority of rooms didn't have a proper window and the only windows were high up onto the corridor, hence the noise. more

This hostel, located in an old Buenos Aires mansion, is truely refreshing, not only because of the rich colors in which it is decorated, each room in a different style, but also because of the comfortable beds and helpful staff. There are rooms in the backend as well as more centrally located rooms, so you can make your own pick,... more

What a great staff, but ultimately this cold, damp and disappointing hostel is let down by the building, breakfast facilities and location. This is not the place to look for day time sleeping after a long haul flight, or indeed, a sleep in after a long night out in BA. Noise permeates every corner, and to add to the experience,... more

This hostel is unpretentious, despite being truly funky and original. The place itself sets the scene right for anyone that wants to get to know the bohemian throb of Buenos Aires. After being on a road for a while, it was nice to stay in a cosy room (with a comfy bed and hot shower) at an affordable price. For... more
