Ironically, given that Kapake is situated near to one of the livliest parts of Buenos Aires, the atmosphere could not have been deader. And I certainly wasn't looking for a party hostel. But as someone else mentioned, the lighting was really dingy, the staff (with one exception) were bored and disinterested and none of the activities (asados, trips) advertised on... more

The area was great, the staff were REALLY lovely and friendly, but the actual hostel was a bit of a let down. Kapake is an absolute gem of a hostel in the middle of the nicest barrio in Buenos Aires, Palermo.
