A very basic accommodation but in an excellent location and very reasonable rates. It's worth making a fuss to get a decent room - we were shown a terrible room to start with, and then they moved us to a larger one. If you are on the street side you get a small balcony but it is very noisy as... more

It is undoubtedly cheap and well situated. The reception and breakfast areas are nice and staff is friendly. However, rooms are not as clean as one would wish (with a constant smell of mould in the air), dust is ubiquous, bedsheets are far from perfect, and one barely has room enough for one suitcase. Bathrooms are the worst feature, nowhere... more

For less than US$ 100.00 per night, you can be at one of the best locations in Buenos Aires, the Recoleta Area, just a few blocks away from the Recoleta Cemetary, the nice bar/restaurant "Locos por El Futbol", the Alvear Street (with lots of high fashion boutiques like Armani, Versace, Gucci,...) and the Hard Rock Cafe. The hotel is old,... more

I stayed 7 nights in Ayacucho Palace Hotel. I found the best cost/benefit by far. The hotel has 2 stars, but I think it could be classified as 3, the breakfast is good, the staff great, and the location is excellent. The room was small and a little bit old, but was clean. The cost was about $55/night, in august... more

The best thing about this hotel is its location in the Recoleta Area. It is within a few blocks of the Recoleta Cemetary where Eva Peron's tomb is located. Everything worth seeing and visiting in this area is easy to get to by walking. Our room was small and very basic, but clean. This is an old hotel with dated... more

The Ayacucho Palace Hotel.... I have no idea where exactly the word "palace" fits in. Contrary to what the elaborate name might imply, the APH is a small, nondescript hotel in BAs prestigious neighborhood of Recoleta. With 5 floors and approximately 70 rooms, it's quaint, tidy, and a great place to kick back after a hard day's worth of sightseeing.... more

I stayed there for 3 nights. Don't be deceived by the lobby. The room is a little dated. Staff is friendly, English-speaking and is willing to help. Location and neighbourhood is good. It feels safe to walk around the blocks. Short walk to Recoleta cemetery and other sights. But taxis are so convenient in Buenos Aires. Personally distance is almost... more

We stayed at the Ayacucho Palace for 3 nights in March and had no problems. The staff spoke english and were very friendly and helpful. We got caught up in the airline strike and the hotel held our room for us without a credit card number on the basis of an email. Not many hotels in North America would do... more

My wife and I stayed here three nights on a recent trip to Buenos Aires. Our overall impression was that it was a good value for the money. Hotel staff is quite friendly and attentive. Furniture and other hard goods in hotel are showing some signs of wear and tear but the lobby is bright and cheery. Linens and such... more
