The hotel is close to shopping, night life, great restaurants and Puerto Madero (the new upcoming fancy port of BA with a lot of bars and restaurants). The rooms are clean and big for being a city hotel. The staff is friendly, a bit slow service in the lobby bar and you eat better breakfast out in the city than... more

Located close to the Railway and the Port. Rooms were large and clean. Bathroom was spotless. Bed was very comfortable. The buffet breakfast offered a good variety of hot and cold foods and fresh fruit although the coffee was slow to arrive and not very hot unless you went to the self serve. Drink prices in the bar were reasonable... more

A group of us stayed at the Emperador for three nights as part of a tour of South America. The location of the hotel is excellent and the facilities luxurious; rooms and bathrooms are huge and well equipped and the public areas are elegant and well looked after. However, the service provided by the hotel is a disaster. We arrived... more

This hotel was booked through a cruise line, BIG MISTAKE. We went a day early and checked into the hotel. We were told that since we had not stayed the night we would have to pay for breakfast, okay we were hungry and tired after a red eye flight. UGH!!!! Runny, cold powdered eggs is not my idea of a... more

I stayed at the Emperador for 4 nights in November 2008. This hotel has had some poor reviews, which I found to be unjustified. The room was spacious and clean, the breakfast buffet is enormous - a large continental spread and hot items such as bacon and scrambled eggs, quiche and sausage. I found the hotel to be good value... more

I'd give this hotel five stars for the physical plant. Rooms are spacious and well decorated. Four stars for location. It's convenient to Recoletos shopping and across the street from the main train station. But: The management doesn't have a clue about what it takes to run a five star hotel. Knowing my company was paying a pretty penny to... more

This is a reasonably well located hotel. It is a little tired and standards aren't quite as high as you'd normally expect in a five star. e.g. only showergel and shampoo provided (no conditioner or body lotion), breakfast was very basic (bread, pastries, ham, fruit and scrambled eggs) However, it's clean and the rooms are quite spacious. I also understand... more

This hotel was very nice and safety seemed to be the first order of every day. There were business suited "guards" in and around the hotel day and night. The rooms are spacious and very clean. We had several small issues such as not leaving enough towels, there were no wash clothes, sometimes they would provide turn down service and... more

We spent about 10 days there due to a business trip. We planned 6-7 nigths but we stucked there because the flight company (Air Europa i would not recommend themto anybody). The lobby is very nice, the people at the front desk are various, some of them are really rude, some of them were very friendly and they made a... more
