We stayed at La Otra Orilla for a total of 8 nights over two periods, and found both the place and the people working there fantastic. Agustina and our staff will help you book trips/tickets/shows/whatever, always with a smile on their face. We spent most of our nights in the violet room, which had more than enough space for two... We stayed here for a week in January in the Azul room which shares a bathroom with a single room down the hall. Overall the stay was very enjoyable. Room had two single beds with a/c and plenty of wardrobe space, the book case (full with novels and guidebooks) was a nice touch and adds to the homely feel of... More

We arrived in B.A. after roughing it for 5 weeks & wanted to treat ourselves in a nice boutique hotel. We were given the bamboo room which was out the back of the house. It was private enough but a little too close to the staff kitchen & received noise from there. We were woken up a few mornings very... More

Recommended by a friend and it didn't disappoint! Lovely setting in the trendy Palermo Viejo neighbourhood. Full of great bars and shopping, easy 10min walk to the subway to get all around BA. All the staff spoke excellent English and were always happy to help with top local tips. The unassuming facade opens up into a beautiful old townhouse full... More

We stayed in both the Verde and Azul rooms. The Verde room was nice and had its own bathroom but the real value was in the Azul room. Very reasonable boutique and amazing breakfasts. It was extremely clean and the men that worked there were very informative and friendly. Great place in Palermo.

La Otra Orilla is a beautiful hidden gem almost in the heart of Palermo and it's amazing restaurants and shopping scene. We found this place through a friend who thoroughly recommended it and I am very glad we took her advice and booked our stay there. The place used to be a family home and was then transformed into a... More

Lovely hostel/B&B located in super trendy Palermo. It's a charming european-inspired building with a gorgeous courtyard, quaint lobby and cute and spacious rooms. I stayed in the smallest room, the White Room, and it was perfect for the single traveller. The bed way comfy, it had a large closet to spread out all my back-packed clothes and a little desk/chair.... More

I stayed here for 5 days while traveling solo in South America. I chose the "Blue" room, which has two twin beds and a bathroom shared with one other person. Since I was solo this was a great setup for me and very reasonable at $55/night. The hotel staff was super-friendly and helpful, and one of the things I appreciated... More

A fantastic old house in the art of Palermo Viejo. A pretty nice patio to relax. A few rooms (with private bathroom or not) very well decorated with colored walls and simple furniture. It is absolutly delightful. Atmosphere between modern Buenos Aires and a old British coutryside B&B. Excellent breakfasts. The violet room (double with private bathroom) is cosy: my... More

This place was a steal - great price and helpful staff. Everyone should plan to stay in Palermo when in Buenos Aires, and this places makes that possible for even people on a budget. You get what you pay for - don't expect the Four Seasons - but the rooms are nice and clean and there is an excellent selection... More
