There is something fundamentally wrong with this place, they do not know how to make reservations. I saw there were concerns about reservations on Trip Advisor, but it looked like a great place. We would have really liked to have stayed at this hostel but we experienced so many problems with their reservation system that when we arrived on a Sunday to check in they had no record of our booking even though we had telephoned (they don´t take phone reservations) and emailed twice to confirm. We stayed at the V&S for two separate nights. The first night we had a good experience; we were able to check in early, we were given pretty decent linens and towels, the staff spoke good English and was accommodating, letting us switch from 2 2-person rooms to 1 4-person room (cheaper), and they even gave us juice and alfajores... more

We had a double room, with ensuite. Bed really comfortable, room large and had little balcony over looking the street. Located in the centre of the city and also close to the train line. Clean and hot water at all times. Breakfast provided. Really enjoyed our stay here. Great value for money. more
