We stumbled upon this jewel of a hotel quite by accident. The staff members were extremely friendly and welcoming. They were not busy and upgraded us to a larger room. The good location allows you to walk to many places, such restaurants, bars, wine shops. In´s in front of the main square and sidewalk. The room were quit and confortable. more

This is a great little hotel in the center of town. It is within walking distance to all the restaurants and shops and only a few yards from the main pedestrian street. There is a lot of variation in the rooms-views, charm, size- so you may want to look at a few before you choose, but they are all spotless.... more

Nice modern hotel just in the center of Mendoza. The room was really comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was not exceptionnal (but it's exactly the same as the one you'll get in any mid-class hotel in Argentina...). A bit expensive. more

San Martin's location is perfect -- right on the Plaza Independencia, but also quiet. The manager gave us a free room upgrade; for 230 pesos (about $65), we got an enormous room with an outdoor space and more closets than you can imagine. The best part of this hotel is the location. It is across the street from the central park and walking distances to many of the central sites and services of the city. While certainly not anything spectacular, this standard hotel is a good value for the money - beds are comfortable (though the sheets were a bit stiff), shower is powerful and hot, TV has the BBC, there is free (if a bit slow) internet and it is relatively quiet.
