It's not the accommodations, although Posada is picturesque, has large pleasant rooms and is very comfortable. And it's not the location, although it is well located a short walk from some really good restaurants and shops. We stayed for 3 nights. Clean, pleasant, and safe. Posada recently renovated. No need for a car. They also have a touring service (Amazing Mendoza Tours) which we used for 2 days of wine tours and a cooking class in the Posada. Owned by an American couple who are there about half the year. Staffed 24 hours/day. more

Based on what we had seen on their website, Posada de Rosas did not meet our expectations. It is not located in a secure neighbourhood, far from the downtown main attractions and definitely not a Boutique Inn. Furthermore it is pricier than a downtown Boutique Hotel. Not only was this a beautiful little place that was clean and comfortable, but the staff were incredible.
