We stayed at El Refugio for two nights in one of the A-frame cabanas that house two families. We were scheduled to stay for three nights but the owner told us on the third morning that he had inadvertently double-booked our cabin for that night and so had reserved two rooms for us at a hotel in Puerto Iguazu for the same price. Despite the annoyance of moving, we were relieved. The people who run El Refugio are very nice and helpful, and the cabana was clean, but the walls were paper thin and the furnishings minimal, uncomfortable, and worn. It wasn't terrible, but we were glad not to be staying longer. more
