After reading previous reviews, we were a bit surprised when shown to our privare room, seemed dingy and a bit small so we asked for another one. They gave us a bigger room, the extra space helped but the beds were hard. As we had to come back this way 5 days later we decided we would not come back... more

Very friendly staff (although very little English spoken), free internet and wifi, good cont breakfas included, lots of hammocks to relax in, kitchen available, small book exchange, free water. The only things they are missing compared to other places around here are TVs and a pool. 80p/nt for a double room with a/c, 50p/nt with just fan. Gave us a... more

A great, comfortable and welcoming place to stay. A short walk from the bus station, but at the quieter end of town and the better for it. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend to friends. Downsides: no pool, most staff speak English but not all. more

Really sweet quiet hostel in a very convenient location in Puerto Iguazu, near the bus station and plenty of restaurants. Really friendly guys managing the place who spoke enough English to answer my questions. Felt very safe, was clean and comfortable, always with hot water in the shower and also free internet. The breakfasts were very basic and the room... more

After a long day of travel, I was happy to find Puerto Canoas as advertised: quiet, off the beaten track, with air conditioning and hammocks in the courtyard. Friendly staff (though not so much English) that was helpful in handling transportation, and only a short walk to town. A nice respite from the heat of Igauzu. Recommended. more

A clean and quiet hostel. Only two blocks from the bus station. All the rooms are located off a very pretty courtyard, that has hammocks you can relax on. Staff and very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very basic, but clean. Very basic showers in the bathroom, but they work. more

First off, read the review from the user "Escadabelle". She has nailed it so good, I printed her review out and took it with me so I could use her tips for the area. The hostel is great. It is located about 5-10 minute walk from the bus station and is close to restaurants, supermarkets, etc. Not that Puerto Iguazu... more

One of the best hostels we stayed in in Argentina. Relaxed, great garden, nice, spacious rooms, excellent staff! Not a party place (thank god). Doubles 70-100 pesos incl good breakfast. We loved it! more

We had narrowed down our choices between Puerto Canoas and the famed Hostel Inn...and now that we've just returned we're so glad we chose to stay in town at Puerto Canoas! On hostelbookers.com, Puerto Canoas was half the price of The Hostel Inn for our stay from Nov 8-11th 2008 (~US$12/pp/double/pn). It's much smaller and therefore less crowded and noisy--it's... more

Our group stayed here and were really happy with the rooms. although the showers are a little bit of an experience. Beautiful courtyard with hammocks to enjoy the birds. And they have a kitchen for personal use. The breakfast is basic, but the staff is really quick to serve you. The owner was amazing and went above and beyond to... more
