Coming from the luxury of El Colome, anywhere was going to be pushed to match up to our new standards however, we left El Hospejade with a warm feeling! The hostal is in a good, quiet, central spot and the rooms are basic and plain, but very clean and comfortable. We stayed 2 nights and had fresh linen each day. The bathroom had lots of hot water and clean towels (and for those that travel without toiletries, little packets of soap etc). There is a pool and a garden with several places to sit. Breakfast is included in the little café attached to the hostal (it had lots of locals each time we went in so is probably good for dinner too although did not try). Breakfast is coffee, orange juice, bread and medialunas and is served by the owner and his friend - both of whom are charming. If you ask, the owner has a box of books for you to swap yours with and his friend who helps with breakfast has a bike rental shop opposite which has good bikes at a good price. more
