This is great option just meters away from the main bus terminal. It only has a few rooms and a centralised swimming pool. All the rooms have AC, hot water, tv’s. I kinda got the feel that everything was slightly dated, the bed wasn’t that great, the toilet leaked and the sink was cracked. All these things are minor and overall the place was very nice. The included breakfast really isn’t breakfast, coffee, juice water and some crusty dry pieces of bread with butter. There were a few croissants but some fresh fruit would of been nice.

The room was cheap and quite clean, breakfast included. Staff was very kind and available. The city center is very close and the bus terminal too. In front of the hotel there is the cableway, a must-see. Enjoy Petit Hotel!

English: This hotel is well located in the capital of Salta, although it is not in downtown, it can be said that it is close (12 blocks from downtown) and just in front of San Martín Park and two blocks from the bus station. However the zero-maintenance of the hotel, the horrible room, how cold is it, the tiny old bathroom and the bad breakfast make you avoid this hotel since for the same price there are much better options in Salta. It should be understood that Salta has very cold winter nights (0C ~ 2C) and I can assure you that with a small heater that they lend you to heat the room, is far from what I would called "comfortable". The breakfast consists of good croissants and toasted old bread (without any marmalade), cold milk and a cereal. The entertainment of the room is an old CRT television and a mini-bar with exorbitant and unreal prices. If it had not been because I needed to be close to the neighbor and the fact that I did not have a car, I would never have stayed at this hotel.…

Response from Sabina L, Equipo de trabajo at Petit Hotel Salta
Responded 26 Jun 2018
Atentamente. Equipo de Petit Hotel Salta

Petit Hotel is a wonderful, clean and tranquil hotel close to Salta bus terminal. This hotel has a lovely pool and garden that overlook the path of the telefrico. There are gardens opposite and the town centre is a short bus ride away. Staff are very helpful, prices are reasonable the the hotel is an oasis of calm.

This hotel is great if you are on a budget. They are not joking about the "petit" part...the rooms are tiny and a bit outdated, but they are very clean. What makes this hotel great are the super friendly and accommodating staff as well as the fabulous location! This hotel is steps from the cable car ride up to the mountain and just a few blocks from the beautiful downtown square. It's got a cute little pool in the garden, and the rooms are clean. Again, if you want a great location, friendly staff and a cheap place to stay, I highly recommend the Petit Hotel.

This hotel is well located close to the bus terminal and an easy walk from the central square. The staff are very friendly and helpful and most speak some English as well as French. The rooms are small and basic but clean and a reasonable value. The down side of the accommodation facilities are the bathrooms which feature the world's smallest showers. These showers come equipped with a squeegee which is necessary to dry the bathroom floor after using the shower. Still that aside I would still stay here again on any revisit to Salta. Breakfast was basic but acceptable.

This is a medium priced hotel with a nice staff, it is clean, and quite comfortable. There are 3 picky problems that I encountered (I can be really picky) below: A. The WiFi is unreliable in your home. It works great by the lobby, or in the patio next to the lobby. B. Taking a shower can be a challenge. It to 10 minutes to get warm water this morning. Yesterday, I gave up on hot water after waiting about 20 minutes. C. Cold milk is not provided for breakfast. Therefore, if you like cold milk with your breakfast and cereal, you will not get it here. One other thing that would be nicer is if the hotel was a little closer to the city center. However, the walk is only about 15 minutes, but at night I would suggest a taxi for dinner as I did not personally find good restaurants very close. Even though I liked this place, I would stay somewhere else next time because of the 3 short comings I encountered here.…

I booked hotel Petit Salta because i wanted to be close to the bus station in order to catch the early bus to San Pedro de Atacama, we literally arrived late at night and left at 6 in the morning so we hardly spent any time at the hotel. We were warmly welcomed at the hotel (only Spanish spoken at that time but the night receptionist spoke English). The room was no thrill but it was very clean (and extremely cheap!), it had air conditioning and a fridge but no safe. We got a taxi to and from Balcarce in the evening and it was very cheap (12 pesos) but it would walkable if you had time. I think this hotel would be suitable for a short stay for someone that requires proximity to the bus station or for someone on a budget that would require a private bathroom.

The best aspect of this hotel is the extremely friendly and helpful staff. They really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Romina, the receptionist, was particularly helpful and accommodating and speaks excellent English. It's very convenient for the bus station too, less than 5 mins walk.

We absolutely loved this friendly staff...bent over backwards to accommodate all of our needs despite our limited ability to communicate between English and Spanish. There were a few things I needed assistance with and the answer was alway "mi casa es su casa" Excellent location......on a busy street, but the back rooms were very quiet While the rooms were a little worn and the bathroom extremely small, the guest service more than made up for it!!!
