We stayed two nights and returned for another after an overnight trip with Movitrack to the mountains. Hotel is very well located, four blocks from main square. Decor is nicely functional. We had a deluxe executive room, with king size (matrimonial) bed. Room was quiet, facing mountains. Excellent buffet breakfast, including fresh fruit salad. We did not eat any other... more

Hotel Almeria is a large-ish hotel (about 60 rooms). It is well-located, about 4 blocks from the main plaza and convenient for most of the museums as well as taking the cable car up to Mount San Bernardo. The staff were incredibly helpful. I was in the middle of the trip and used the in-house laundry service which was very... more

We spent an excellent time in this place. This hotel is located in the very center of the city, walking distance from the most important attractions, good restaurants, local market and shopping areas. We stayed in a Almeria suite, very large and impressive, about 55-60 sq.m, with huge balcony and solarium. The room is decorated in local andin style. Beautiful... more

I spet a night in the Almería Hotel before of my return to Buenos Aires and loved it. In fact, I saw the reviews on Tripadvisor so I choose it and I was not wrong. The hotel is lovely decorated in a sort of spanish colonial style. Breakfast area is large and you have a lot of things to eat,... more

My wife and I only stayed for 1 night because we wanted to move on. The Almeria proved to be a very good choice. 550 pesos for the suite, incl. Jacuzzi. Free and safe parking and very close the the city center. The room faced the mountains and was very quite. The gym/spa on the 3rd floor was not really... more

I was initially shown into one of the hotel's normal rooms which was pretty small, being mostly filled up with a queen sized bed. It was nicely done up in mutted beige colours and had a nice view of the surrounding mountains. But having specially requested a room with a bathtub I was astonished to find they only had one... more

We booked the Almeria suite as a treat and did not disappoint - a fantastically large room with a massive bed, huge bathroom and a hot tub over looking the town and villages. Definately worth the upgrade. Great location and parking is included. Breakfast was average. Be sure to take the cable car up the mountains to get an impressive... more

Pleasant place to stay for a couple of nights. This is a 4* hotel with a good restaurant downstairs designed in Spanish Andalucian style. It has also a garage, large yacuzzi and sauna, good but not exceptional breakfast and it is located a few blocks from the town's main square. more

Needed to find a hotel at the last minute and turned to TA forum. Hotel Almeria was the top rated hotel with mostly 5's, so I figured it would be a wonderful place to stay. Imagine my surprise to find that it was a very average hotel with nothing outstanding about it....i was quite disappointed. The room was long and... more

Monarchy does not exist in Salta, but staying in the Almeria really made me feel like a king. The frendliest, nicest, most efficent hotel crew in Salta works for this hotel. It has a beautiful Southern -Spain facade, but once you are inside you realize that its Spanish character blends perfectly with all the modern conveniences a good hotel must... more
