This property is certainly well named, as it means 'star'. We loved our stay at this remote, tranquil, intimate boutique hotel. The service was outstanding from each of the staff who made us feel more like valued family than travelers. Delicious, fresh, creative breakfasts and dinners were served in the cozy restaurant. The trout I enjoyed one night had been... more

We loved this hotel. It has amazingly gorgeous views, lovely rooms, and such terrifically attentive staff that we had a wonderful time there. Lovely and very good restaurant. It is so homey; even when the weather wasn't good, we 'hung out' and it was so pleasant. The 'spa' is not really great, though. more

The Aldebaran is the best of Bariloche. While the center of town is extremely touristy, with Swiss-chalet style architecture, and the Llao Llao, while imposing and impressive in its way, is pretentious and equally out of place, the Aldebaran fits easily, gracefully and comfortably into its environment, which could not be more spectacular. This is partly due to the simple,... more

We spent three wonderful nights at the Aldebaran, the highlight of an 8-day trip through the Lakes District. The staff, hotel and food were just outstanding. The hotel is on a quiet peninsula jutting into Nahuel Huapi lake, with excellent hiking options nearby and away from the chaos of Bariloche city. By dinner our first night, over slow cooked trout,... more

I try not to give five-star reviews, so let me get this out of the way first: my girlfriend and I fell absolutely, completely head-over-heels in love with the Aldebaran. It is, without a doubt, one of the most lovely places we have stayed anywhere, at any price. Having had a disastrous stay in another hotel, we checked out early... more

The Aldebaran is a very charming small boutique hotel that borders on an upscale bed and breakfast. We arrived in the evening and were warmly met by the staff who gave us an option of rooms. Our room had a fabulous view of the lake. There is a small dining room and a bar where we had a drink before... more

The Aldebaran was our first stop on our honeymoon, and we stayed for 6 nights. We absolutely loved it - it was certainly our favourite hotel out of all the ones we stayed in in Argentina. When we arrived we felt like we'd arrived at a friend's house - we got such a lovely welcome! Our room was very spacious,... more

I was originally planning to stay at the Llao Llao, as that was the hotel highly recommended by a colleague. When I went online to book, there were no rooms available for when I would be in Bariloche, so I decided to book at the Aldebaran instead. I was certainly not disappointed with my stay. The hotel has a country... more

A most enjoyable and pleasantly memorable stay. The accommodations were first class with unobstructed views of the pristine lake and snow-capped mountains looking out from the balcony as well as other parts of the hotel The hotel staff was always friendly and quite helpful. The food was very good and while not 5-star level, it was not the main reason... more
