The best thing about El Casco is by far the setting and the view. We had a room facing the lake, over which we could watch the sun rise. The hotel is outside the bustle of "downtown" Bariloche, but is just a 10 or 15 minute drive from the main shopping and dining area. We enjoyed the peace and quiet.... more

A wonderful hotel on a lake a few kilometers outside of Bariloche. A rent car is almost a necessity to explore the region. The staff was excellent giving good advice for day trips and allowing us to have a very late checkout for an evening flight. April is a low season, so I don't know if they would do that... more

We stayed 3 nights at this wonderful Boutique Hotel. The service, the accommodations, the spa, and the view of the lake were all top notch. Everyone was incredibly helpful and the setting on the Lake surrounded by wonderful sculptures was exquisite. My husband and I would highly recommend this hotel. fantastic hotel ruined by cold insincere staff feigning interest( except the people supporting breakfast) If you can ignore the people and enjoy the surroundings this is the place for you. for us it was too big an ask. you nee to feel comfortable and welcome- casco doesnt do that at all. more

I had been to Bariloche before, I had stayed where it was considered at that time the best hotel in Argentina (Llao Llao hotel), but the overall experience at El Casco surpasses anything you can imagine: impeccable and knowledgeable service, ample rooms, outstanding lake views, wonderful paintings and sculptures all around.
