The hotel is cute but a bit dated. The common area is very charming with a large window facing the bay, snacks and tea available all day. I belive there are several rooms upstairs that have a good view and perhaps some character, but neither the basement, nor the road-facing ones do. If you do choose to stay here -... More

Staff were wonderful, helpful and accomodating so I am really sad I have to write a negative review as they would not deserve it. But if you are looking for quiet nights then this is not the place for you. I had a room on the first floor of the building which was facing the street and it was very... More

This cute residence has the basics to be fantastic but isn't quite there yet. Sleeping quality: good bed and linen but the room was too hot and sometimes noisy. I stayed 4 nights and slept very very badly on two and average on the others. Shower: looked a bit rusty but worked fine, lots of hot water. The bathroom is... More

Have just spent 4 nights here before going to Antarctica and can thoroughly recommend it. Clean rooms, great views and lovely staff. The Breakfasts always had fresh fruit and there was tea and coffee available all day in the lounge, with great views over the Beagle Sound

The House is not a typical hotel but we received a warm welcome, had a very nicely appointed and comfortable room, enjoyed a cosy lounge, nice breakast and were offerred advice and assistance by the staff. Our stay was extremely positive and comfortable and the great views over the Beagle Channel are an added bonus. The House is in a... More

The House is a true gem amongst the hostals and hotels in Ushuaia. Amazing view from the communal area over Ushuaia Bay. I had the room on top of the spiral stair cases and once I had dragged my bag up there, the view from the roof window made it all worth while. Breakfast is simple and OK. Service and... More

Perfect for young trekkers or backpackers but definitely not what one would expect from a hotel. We couldn't turn the heating down and it was EXTREMELY UNBEARABLY HOT so we had to sleep all night with the window wide open and thus in a draught of very cold air. The rooms are down below street level and so with no... More

We found this a relatively expensive hotel. We stayed at room A at the front side of the hotel. This room was pretty big and had a nice bathroom. The furniture however was more simple than minimalistic. The room was a bit noisy and after taking a shower half of the bathroom floor was covered in water. Breakfast was nice... More

Macondo is the place to stay if you are looking for the best in every sense. The crew was always willing to help me in anything I needed. They have a lot of tourism information and they put me in contact with the best agencies. They were always worried about my well-being, if it was cold they offered me tea,... More
