Stayed at the Transilvania as part of a South America trip. Itai (the owner) is a very hospitable person who has lots of good advice for backpackers and always willing to lend a hand. Very good value for the money.

Hot showers with good pressure. Wifi was good in room. It was reasonably clean - not gross but not immaculate. Great breakfasts with a few different options. Fruit and pancakes were great. Service was good. Have DVDs you can check out. Cool building.

I would like to recommend this great hostel, the staff is friendly and helpful. the breakfast is amazing as other people as mentioned, the hot water in the shower is actually hot. they help you with the activities that you can do in baños. and there are lots of movies on dvd. we had a great time there.
