Of all the places we stayed in Ecuador (Quito, Banos, Cuenca,Otavato) Posada del Arte was the best by a wide margin. This is an incredible small hotel, perhaps 15 rooms, that is tastefully decorated with original Ecuadorian art. The rooms are large, clean and tastefully decorated. Restaurant and lounge area is lovely but some of the rooms and bathrooms need a little updating. Breakfast was incredible - the best in Ecuador - lots of choice, fresh fruit, juices and bread, good coffee. Hotel situated in quiet area of town. Lots of spa / massage options nearby. more

"Vera" of Alan_and_Vera spent two years of her youth in Baños. We spent a delightful week rediscovering this interesting city while staying at Posada del Arte.
