We stayed there during our stay in Apia, and had no doubts to return to stay at this place again.

It's situated within a family home, with rooms on the upper level. The rooms were quite spacious, provided with fans. They serve a hearty brekfast-eggs with tropical fruits.
The location is convenient, close to a supermarket, and the main bus station.
It's a short walking distance to town. Bathrooms are clean.
The owners are very friendly, and are always willing to offer you advice.
If you are a couple travelling, or even a small family, looking for a clean, budget place, I'd definetly recommend staying there. more

My family of 5 stayed at Valentine's Motel. It's within walking distance of most of Apia's attractions and is fine for those looking for super budget accomodations.

The rooms are clean, but run-down and shabby. The walls are fairly thin. The beds are a wooden frame with a thin foam mat (3 inches or so) on top. It was fine, and we were all able to get a decent night's rest while we were there. I don't think they have any air conditioned rooms. Ours had a fan and we were nice and cool at night.

The grounds are well cared for and the shared bathrooms have recently been re-tiled so that was very nice. They only have cold water (not uncommon for budget hotels in Samoa). A night there includes a continental breakfast of papaya, toast, eggs, and coffee. They have a TV in the lounge area and a computer that guests can use for $3 tala per 15 minutes.
