Kind of a colonial type of place with lots of charm and romance, good location walking wise to different areas of Apia. Visit the farmers market to buy cooked Samoan foods local fruits in season and beautiful handicrafts, change your money before you shop. Plan to return in June of 2010 with a couple freinds. more

I wouldn't rave about Agge Greys - it's an interesting story and has some lovely common areas, so it's worth a walk-through, but it's overpriced to stay there given the fairly basic accommodation. I can't quite pinpoint why, but it seems the hotel can afford to rely on its own hype, especially given the complete lack of competition among big... more

We spent one night at Aggie Grey's Hotel after arriving on an evening flight from NZ with our three young children aged 4, 6 and 8. We were taken by courtesy coach from the airport to the hotel which took about 45 minutes. We weren't expecting 5 star accommodation - we only wanted somewhere to spend a night before moving... more

Arriving back in Samoa again and after finding out Kitanos no longer held a fia fia night i took the kids here just for the dinner and show! We did NOT stay here - I absolutely love Samoa and the Samoan people and would NEVER ever put them down or disrespect them in anyway . However i was far from... more

We stayed at this hotel in a "standard" room for 5 nights. The hotel entrance, restaurants, gardens and staff were nice however our room was not clean. The bathroom was mouldy, the shower alcove leaked water and the shower gushed at only one speed 'torrential". Bedding (cotton blankets) and covers were not clean. Staff congretated to smoke behind our room... more

My sister and I stayed during Teuila Festival week and the week after, so we were part of the whole 'road switch' event this month. Enjoyed out time at Aggie's. Staff are friendly enough and our room was great (light, airy and spacious). We had a standard garden/spoolside room. Initially we were in a smaller, darker coloured room but my... more

The fiafia nite was fantastic! It did coincide with the miss Pacific Islands contestants staying at the hotel. However, the dances were full of energy and enthusiasm, the smiles of the Samoan people were alluring and warm, and the fire dancers... Speechless! It wasn't easy looking for really traditional dishes in Apia, Samoa. Most were fried in batter... However, the... more

Booked here for the last day of our fantastic week in Samoa. This Hotels promotes its history and its certainly part of its character. It is a little run down. The carpet has wet marks on it and a strong strawberry smell where they are trying to cover up water damge odour. The swimming pool needs a repaint etc..get the idea.... more
