After reviewing an article in Via (AAA Magazine) about the deals in Arizona, my partner and I decided to book a room. We looked at several spas, but decided on Sanctuary due to it's relaxing atmosphere. We got a great deal, according to AAA rooms normally go for $600.00+ per night for our room, we got our room for around... more

My wife and I celebrated our one-year anniversary at the Sanctuary and it was a wonderful experience. The staff was wonderful and the property very clean. I highly reccommend this spot for anyone looking to get away! more

My husband, SIL & BIL spent four nights there last week. After reading about the much lower prices at resorts in AZ in AAA magazine, VIA, we decided to take advantage of that and booked a two bedroom suite for the four of us. We found the whole experience to be wonderful, the staff could not have been better from... more

We booked a mountain vista suite for one night to celebrate a birthday. It was one of the most peaceful and quiet places I've ever stayed. We didn't hear a sound while inside the suite. We had a beautiful view of the mountains and Paradise Valley below. The suite was 1000 sq. ft. with two balconies joined together. The bed... more

My mom and I stayed at Sanctuary for two nights after I took the California Bar for a relaxing spa get away. We were not at all disappointed. I booked the entire stay with a reservations agent at the hotel. She was able to recommend me a package that was most suited to our needs and recommended her favorite spa... more

My husband and I were married in May but with jobs and children a long honeymoon was out of the question. Looking on the internet I found this hotel and the pictures sold me on making reservations for three nights. We stayed in a mountain suite- which smelled very old upon opening the door. The furntiure and carpets were old... more

After reading all of the TripAdvisor reviews, maybe my expectations for this hotel were too high. I think a 5 star rating is best reserved for truly memorable properties where location, service and amenities all come together. We booked during the summer to take advantage of the deeply discounted rates. As such, we were able to book a Mountain Casita... more

The staff were the outstanding thing about this property- they were truly excellent from checking in to being taken to our room, to housekeeping and pool staff without exception they were fantastic! We were given a room with a great view- an outside area would have been nice though. The room was fine, some nice furnishings but a carpet which... more

The hotel is in a nice location. The grounds are nice, the pools look inviting from a distance. The hotel is older and an attempt was made to give it a modern facelift. Modern furniture that is dusty, creaky floors, dingy drappery and the new-age "stuff" does not disguise the smell, the aging cooling system and the rude, poorly informed... more

We stayed for three nights in a mountainview casita. We had a lovely view of Mummy mountain and could watch the sunset over Paradise Valley. This resort is truly a sanctuary. The grounds were beautiful and lush with desert plants. The resort is built up the side of Camelback Mountain with brick paver stairways and paths throughout that lead you... more
