Mark Winkler, owner/operator, is very warm and hospitable - cares about his guests. Don't be fooled by the initial rough appearance from the street; when you get nestled into the lodge amongst the boulders and trees you're "away from it all" - private patio, good food, microwave, mini-frig, beautiful environment in a nice, small town atmosphere. A short drive or... more

We were in Prescott for the Folk Music festival and stayed at the Gurley St Lodge. we had the "San carlo Room" - it was modern, clean and spacious. It had a private patio that was comfortable and appointed with table and chairs. The proprietor, Mark, was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was served at 8:30 and was very nice.... more

This was our first trip to the Prescott area and we wanted to stay at a B&B within walking distance to town. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by Mark - our host for the next week. Great Guy! The room was clean and comfortable - supplied with a mini-frig - microwave - coffee maker. We had our own private... more

My friend and I recently spent 2 nights at the Gurley Street Lodge and found the accomodations to be exactly what we were looking for. Although the Lodge is on the main street in Prescott, it is tucked back off the road and very quiet. The proprieter, Mark, was very nice, informative and makes a wonderful breakfast! I would certainly... more

Last weekend's stay started out as simply a couple of days away from the oppressive summer heat of PHX, going to a mountain B&B that allowed my wife and me to bring along our Basset Hound, Penelope.....a dog and a B&B, not a common occurence, but an online search found pet-friendly Mark who allows dogs in a cabin adjacent to... more

My husband and I stayed here over a weekend, choosing it for the location. The location was indeed perfect--within walking distance of the courthouse square (about a mile) and yet away from the heavy traffic. The grounds were peaceful and beautifully landscaped, with terraced patios and lots of trees. The room was really nice--gas fireplace, huge closet, and oh-so-soft towels... more

My wife and I have stayed at the Gurley Street Lodge a number of times over the past 5 years and we are never disappointed. It is the perfect getaway spot in Prescott -- which is a short trip north of Phoenix, and a completely different world. You will feel welcome. You will enjoy the proximity to downtown Prescott AND... more

The welcome, and the attention to details that Mark (the owner) offers left my Mom and I comfortable, without a care or a need! After we got settled in the cabin we put on a pot of fresh, delicious coffee, sat on our comfortable , private porch and talked for hours. The cabin and it's surroundings reminded us a little... more

I lucked out: It looked good on the website and was even better in real life. Mark Winkler is a gem of a proprietor who enjoys cooking up delectable breakfasts. My favorite: Spanish omelet. Second favorite: French toast. Each meal starts with a fine fruit compote and yogurt. My room was charming with its own fireplace and patio. The dining... more

I just had the greatest time at the Gurley Street Lodge this past weekend. It was the perfect choice for me as I was traveling alone and going to Prescott for the first time. It was within easy walking distance of town. The rooms were sweet and tastefully decorated. I especially liked mine as I could lie in my comfy... more
