Can't say enough about this place. Generally, if we want a quick one-night getaway from Tucson & can choose between Patagonia, Bisbee, or Phoenix, we'll likely pick Santa Rita Lodge. We would have spent a week there and still enjoyed it all. The casitas were pleasantly accomodated and the scenery, wildlife and one night just was not enough. We hope to get back. more
Great cabin, great views! We saw deer, hummingbirds, wild turkeys but no bear. Had a wonderful time. Hosts were very nice and the store has some beautiful items. We stayed for two nights at the Santa Rita and would definitely return again, preferably for a longer stay. Our visit was primarily because of the good birding in Madera Canyon but we also enjoy hiking. The setting is absolutely beautiful, and the cabins at Santa Rita Lodge are the best way to enjoy it. There are trails heading out in every direction and our two-year-old daughter just loved it. we were there several years ago - absolutely wonderful birding - lots of hummingbird feeders & hummers are there all the time. Owners are very pleasant & accommodations were OK. I'd recommend it, especially for birders.... more
