Once my wife and I saw A Sunset Chateau's website - I knew - my wife and I would be staying at a place as close to heaven as can be. And we were not disappointed. The rooms are all beautifully decorated by the owner's wife Janet (an artist and musician in her own right). The entire complex rests nestled... more

I almost hate to rave about this place because in a way I hope it remains a well kept secret! It’s just the kind of place that welcomes you and refreshes your whole person, making you feel like you’re 10 years younger by the end of your stay! My husband and I have hectic work schedules (both in the medical... more

We still cannot find enough good words to describe how we impressed we are with A Sunset Chateau and its equally delightful owners, Philippe and Janet Buillet. This was our first return visit and we have to say that in the year interim, Philippe and Janet have managed to make even better something that we already thought was 'the best'!... more

It's okay, but nothing special. Money would probably be best spent elsewhere...Breakfast doesn't begin until 8:30 at best, and no one is in the office until then. If you have to leave early, forget about getting to talk to anyone or having breakfast. Also, if you arrive past 6, they leave the key posted to the door, and then you... more

Please allow me to keep this review simple: • FRIENDLY staff. Janet, Philippe, their kids, and everyone else working at the Chateau were all very helpful and were always ready with a pleasant smile and hello. Anyone on staff there always had a minute (or MUCH longer) to give to us in the way of travel tips, in-town restaurant recommendations,... more

My daughter and I go on an annual mother/daughter trip and chose AZ this year. What a treat this B&B was! (I discovered it through TripAdvisor). It's colorful with lots of artistic touches and cozy comfort. It was a great value at $199 - actually an entire small apartment with full kitchen - with terrific views sitting on our porch... more

Just came back from our first trip to Sedona, and was blown away by the beauty of the place. This is somewhere we will go back to for sure, and will look forward to staying at the Sunset Chateau. What a lovely, eclectic, warm, colourful place this is! If you're looking for the traditional, impersonal chain hotel, this is not... more

I just returned from Sedona where I stayed at A Sunset Chateau for the second time. I had last stayed there in 2005, on the advice of a friend who is a well-seasoned traveler, and a regular at this bed and breakfast. After my last trip, I vowed to return. The Chateau was not as I remember it. It was... more

We had a wonderful experience at A Sunset Chateau. I called and spoke to Janet, one of the owners, and she explained our room options and the extra fee for two others at breakfast when sharing a room. We were originally booked in a Casita Suite for the first two nights of our trip for four people (using a pull... more

A hidden Shangri-La is how I would describe A Sunset Chateau. This place is visually beautiful and peaceful with a bubbling brook that meanders through the property. This "little slice of heaven" is an artistic tour de force with every detail arranged for your comfort from the sumptuous breakfasts, their own artwork, and comfortable (no detail ommitted) elegant casitias with... more
