Wonderful location, so lush and tree-filled with the creek down below the breakfast patio. Very hospitable folk taking care of everything. Superb home-made "good for you!" breakfasts are an excellent start to set you up for your day in red-rock country which is so accessible from here. We visited with friends who took Owl while we had Sparrow. We were... more

If individual cabins tucked along side a bustling creek sounds nice, then punch your ticket. The staff is over-the-top nice and the facilities are quiet and top notch. Lots of greenery and little paths wander over the grounds and they have a couple of sheep that free range in the middle of the facility. The sheep are the closest thing... more

The Briar Patch Inn was better than we expected. Beautiful, quiet setting along Oak Creek. The cabins are quaint, rustic, very clean, with comfortable beds, clean sheets. The shower stall is very small, but this is a minor inconvenience. The staff is very pleasant and accommodating. The breakfasts are wonderful -- food is excellent, good variety of items. Would highly... more

I recently returned from a very pleasant 4-night stay at the Briar Patch Inn, 8/5 - 9. I agree with all the posts that state the inn is an extremely tranquil setting outside the hustle and bustle of touristy Uptown Sedona and has management the takes great care to ensure that each guest feels personally tended to. The Inn's guests... more

First my biases. In spite of what the guidebooks and the AZ tourism office may say, Sedona is over-hyped, the drive on 89A through Oak Creek canyon is over-hyped, the scenery in general is over-hyped. The city is simply not that special, except for two aspects: the architecture, which must be a consequence of a rather strict building code, and... more

If you want to feel pampered, the Briar Patch Inn is a great place to go. The cottage was comfortable and nicely decorated in southwestern style. The setting was magnificent, with lots of greenery and the mountains looming over. Breakfast on the terrace, overlooking the creek, was a delight. The staff was very friendly and very eager to help. For... more

We stayed at the Briar Patch for just one night in June on our way to Taos. Our cabin accommodated our little family of three perfectly with a comfy bed in the bedroom and two ample day beds in the living room. While the bathroom shower was small and the cabin quite rustic, we were delighted with the pine panelling... more

My wife and I stayed in the Ivy House cottage for 2 nights the first week of May, Although the cottage was nice we were dissapointed in the fact that we could not use the indoor fireplace due to the elevated fire risk. Not that I'm faulting the owners, but perhaps they should note this possibility on the website because... more

Warm, welcoming, beautiful. A cozy nook in a crazy world. Refreshing. Husband /wife, did not stay here with the intent to "recharge" but we sure did! This is our new "favorite place". We are picky about lodging and feel that here, at The Briar Patch, you can't help but enjoy your stay. This place is different- the cabins & furniture... more

The positive reviews led us to stay here and we were very happy with that decision. The setting is very special-wooded and tranquil with an easy walk to the creek. Very private property overall and extremely private in the cotages yet easy access (a few miles) to Sedona's shops and restaurants and sites. The breakfast was very nicely presented and... more
