Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This inn is located on a busy highway, but the traffic calms down at night. The rooms in the back overlook Oak Creek and have stunning views of the mountains in the distance. We appreciated the spaciousness of our room and having a balcony. It was also a huge plus to have access to a refrigerator and microwave in the kitchen and to be able to fix our own breakfast early. Since we went hiking every day, this enabled us to get going early, prepare our lunch, and occasionally heat up our take-out dinners. The home baked cookies and muffins they prepare every day are a delicious treat too! We got to know Rich pretty well as he was on duty when we checked in. He was very welcoming, kind, and helpful. We appreciated the tips he offered for hiking and restaurants.

Really great base for 3 days in Sedona. Warm welcome from the hosts with cookies and coffee on offer, decent room on 2nd floor with good continental breakfast each morning offering range of cereals, bagels, fruit and coffee/tea. Plus plenty of free parking and good location with plenty of restaurants / bars nearby and close to some decent hiking trails such as Hangover. Not the cheapest boutique B&B - but we would return if ever back in Sedona - well done!

Great location! Room was super cute and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Really quaint seating area downstairs by the creek. A little cold in the winter but would be a great spot to eat breakfast or have coffee in the morning. I would definitely come back!

Stayed here for 2 nights. The inn is right in the middle of things, walking distance to great restaurants, shopping or just walking around to view the majestic red rocks. Staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. Free parking and continental breakfast with coffee and cookies available 24/7. We stayed in room 12 which is upstairs ( no elevator) which had a great view of the creek and the red rock mountains. Large jacuzzi tub was appreciated since the weather was chilly and raining. Room has a fireplace and a comfortable bed. Only negative was the carpeting could use updating or stretching as it was raised in several spots.

This home away from home far exceeded our expectations! Comfy beds! Awesome pillows! Wonderful access to the kitchen and daily breakfast with homemade muffins and cookies available all day. Lovely dining and relaxing area facing bird feeders and Oak Creek. Fantastic bbq area (we grilled two nights and it was fabulous!). Kimberley and Rich were welcoming and nothing was too much of an ask for them. Loved the view of the creek! 5 mins from Tlakapaque art shops. Close to all hikes. Cannot find a better place to stay!!!!! 5 plus ⭐️

We stayed at the Inn Above Oak Creek while in Sedona 2/6 to 2/8. Our trip coincided with the atmospheric river weather system's arrival in Arizona - so there was some snow in Sedona and lots of rain and cold temperatures. But we made the most of it and our family of six adults (three rooms) was super comfortable at IAOC. The fireplace and sitting area in the lobby was so cozy, and made the times we weren't in our rooms warm and inviting. The rooms were very comfortable and the fireplaces there added a special touch. Although it was cloudy and rainy most of the time, we could still see the views, and those were great too. The service was great - friendly, accomodating, and welcoming. We are definitely going to go back - our trip to the Grand Canyon didn't get to happen, and even though it was all still absolutely beautiful even with the bad weather, I'd love to see Sedona on a clear day!

From the start the staff here were wonderful - so friendly and helpful at every turn. The communication at the reservation and prior to arrival was great as was it when we needed to make a change to our stay length. Check in was a breeze and the room wonderful. We opted for a creekside room and it was comfortable, quiet and romantic as we had hoped. The staff was helpful with all our questions and had some great recommendations for area restaurants etc. Everything about the Inn AOC was comfortable, classy and wonderfully fitting to Sedona. We look forward to coming back not just to the area but to the Inn Above Oak Creek as well.
