Once we hiked to the village and found the Havasupai Lodge we actually liked it. We had read a lot of mixed reviews regarding the lodge and the village; and we are pleased to say that it was much better than what we expected. Upon arrival for our 2 night stay, we found our room to be very clean and... more

I am dismayed to read some of the reviews of both the lodge and the village. Do people realize that this is a remote place at the BOTTOM of the Grand Canyon? Everything comes in/goes out by horse-mule-helicopter. So maybe the lobby furniture is old - are they supposed to fly in new couches on a regular basis? Horses and... more

This village is like going to a third world country. There are stray, mangy dogs everywhere and the village stinks like the horse crap that is everywhere you look. The only positive thing I can say about the lodge is that it was clean but the overwhelming smell of pine cleaner was hard to take. The woman in the lobby... more

I must address the rather negative views that this lodge has been getting on this site. My wife and I had a very positive experience. The rooms are quite large. Everything was clean and comfortable. The air conditioning was much appreciated in the 100+ degree heat. The shower was most welcome after the 8 mile hike to get there. The... more

Considering its the only place to stay and hard to get a reservation, it was much better than we thought it would be. No TV or internet services. The rooms were spacious, clean and were serviced daily. The only downside is that the food in the cafe in the town was terrible. more

Our room at the Havasupai Lodge was spartan (no television or phone, bare walls) but clean. The shower had good flow. The hotel lobby was shabby with furniture that looked like it was pilfered from a dump. The lobby's one modern accoutrement was a computer with internet access. However, the lobby is open only from 8 to 5, just when... more

By now you should have a feel for the property -- basic amenities, with indifferent staff -- but we found it clean. My main point is to take your written confirmation to show them you have a reservation! That's all they looked at to give us a room. No computer, no log book, no nothing as far as we could... more

Just returned from a three day two night stay at the Havasupai Lodge. After reading reviews here and elsewhere, I was very leary about this property. I should preface this review by saying I normally stay in above average accomodations. I took my own sheet and a small camping pillow, towel, etc. for this trip. I didn't even take the... more

The room was filthy and the crown jewel was the fact that there was thong underwear left in the bathroom floor. All that for only $125.00 in January. more

What a contrast! First the lodge - If you like 1)paying Hyatt prices for something less than a Motel 6 experience; 2) staff with a hospitality rating somewhere between indifference and annoyance; 3) the outdoor aroma of equine feces and urine; 4) dodging dozen of roaming dogs and strewned litter; and 5) paying $10 to $15 for cuisine resembling a... more
