I've stayed at many Phoenix Hotels for business. The Buttes are my favorite hotel. The grounds are gorgeous but it is often the check-in experience that really sets the tone. We recently attended a conference at the Marriott Buttes Resort in Tempe, Arizona. The grounds are great - pools and waterfalls and the hill-top views abound 360 degrees, but the rooms are mediocre and are in need of a refresh.
