I've been working in the Travel Industry and specifically in Costa Rica for the last ten years and Aguila de Osa is STILL one of my most favourite places to be in Costa Rica. The Osa exemplifies what Costa Rica is known for - incredible wildlife, remote white-sand beaches, lush rainforest, incredible marine-life, and fun-filled opportunities for adventure. It is... more

Just for starters, if you NEED air conditioning, don't go to the Osa, period.. It is HOT. That said, this hotel is gorgeous, the staff is exremely friendly and helpful, the other guests were delightful, and the heat and rain keep the riffraff away. My daughter and I went to the Osa to dive Cano Island. I have made a... more

This was my first time to Drake Bay, I have stayed at Lapa Rios before and all over Costa Rica but was blown away by Aguila de Osa but also the area. The thing that really made this unique for myself and my wife was the staff and the guests. The staff are fabulous, always ready to help but also... more

Drake Bay is a special spot in Costa Rica, and our experience at the Aguila de Osa Inn made it even more incredible. The staff are incredibly attentive and efficient, the food was wonderful and the setting was absolutely incredible. The villas are nestled in the forest, set slighty up the hill side, giving each room a beautiful view of... more

This hotel captures everything that I had been told about the Osa Peninsula from friends who had visited before. The wildlife was abundant with scarlet macaws and toucans flying around us, howler and white face monkeys jumping on the rooftops, hummingbirds everywhere I looked, and an incredible snorkeling experience with a 25 foot whale shark on Cano Island. That in... more

A few brief words can not describe the most wonderful experiences we had….and the accomodations were top notch. Upon arriving, we were greeted with a coctail and lunch. Meals are served family style, and are served so beautifully. We hiked down to the beach after settling in, being entertained with the monkeys, and some general exploring. Having never been out... more

All the favorable reviews are correct. This is an unbelievably beautifule location. We have stayed at Bosque Del Cabo three times but this is the best lodge to experience the Corcovado National Forest. You are right in the jungle and the tours of Corcovado and Cano Island are unfogettable. On the boat ride back fron Corcovado we had the life-changing... more

Beautiful setting in the jungle, with monkeys in the trees, iguanas on your deck and cicadas chirping below and the fragrant smell of ylang ylang trees wafting up from below. Rooms are gorgeous if simple. The food is served family style and made from fresh local fruits and vegetables. Fish are caught that day on the guest’s fishing trips. The... more

We reached Aguila after a beautiful boat ride down the river and through the mangrove forests. We were met at the dock, offered lunch (all meals included) and a beer. Our room was lovely - screened with no windows, or AC, but a good ceiling fan. Our meals were excellent, with dinner served family style on platters to pass. Breakfasts... more

Arriving - we flew to Palma Sur, were collected in a mini bus and had around a 20min drive to the river to pick up a small motor boat. We had a 20 boat trip through the mangrove swamps and then about another 20-30mins in the ocean travelling round the coast to reach the hotel - a really exciting way... more
