I want to first say, before I made my reservations I utilized TripAdvisor and relied heavily on the reviews posted here ...so its only right that I give back and post my review. This means alot, as I've never posted a travel review before, however, I feel we had such a great experience I want to return the favor and... more

We had a wonderful stay at Las Caletas. At times it was hard to imagine we were at an ecolodge. The cabinas were clean and comfortable. The gourmet meals were outstanding. The professional, caring staff headed by owners David and Jolanda were supreme. We spent an afternoon on the beach. On day 2 decided to hike along the beach to... more

July is kind of down month here. I think everyone is burnt out on dealing with the touristas. In particular, I don't think that the owner of the Lodge is fond of Americans. We were misquoted a price on a fishing charter and ended up paying a higher price than we were told by the owner. Although the fishing guide,... more

If you want to see plenty of marine life and wildlife then this is the place to visit. From the dining area you can see Iguanas, monkeys, Macaws, and many other birds and mammals. The tour guide was very knowledgeable of the native flora and fauna and he was very friendly. David who co-owns and runs the place is fluent... more

We just returned from 10 days at Las Caletas, and had a very memorable time. We chose the lodge because of the very positive ratings on tripadvisor, and largely agree with the other reviewers. David, one of the owners, is a very hospitable and accommodating host. (Jolanda was away during our stay, so we did not meet her, but she... more

Las Caletas was the first stop on our 12 day Costa Rica trip and was by far the best experience! We wanted to be a little adventurous so we stayed in one of the tents. These tents are not advertised on the website but they are great! What you lack in privacy (you are in a tent close to the... more

We stayed at Las Caletas with 7 adults , 3 children the youngest was 21 months. What an amazing place with great people. The guides were great , the staff was fun and we found this to be a very family friendly atmosphere. The wildlife is better than anywhere we've found. This is an outdoor experience so those looking for... more

Las Caletas provided an enchanting atmosphere for relaxing on the beach. The walking path from the hotel grounds goes along the beach, all the way to Corcovado National Park. Several families of monkeys can be found along the trail, as well as a few elusive Scarlet Macaws. This is a great place to stay if you are interested in visiting... more

Our time spent at Las Caletas was amazing. From the moment we arrived the staff were helpful, friendly, yet left us to experience this paradise at our own pace. We spent hours sitting on the deck listening to the birds and the surrounding wildlife and hearing the waves crash down below at the beach. From the guided tours led by... more

We stayed at Las Caletas for 5 nights and the best part of 5 days. It is a unique experience being away from roads and electronica (unless you take advantage of internet use, which is on offer - we didn't). Within 24 hours, the rest of the world had faded away and our world was centred on the beautiful location,... more
