So the launcha drops you off at the dock, you call up for help with your bags and begin the 400+ step trek up to the hotel lobby. Thierry met us at the top and showed us to our room. Shocking, jaw dropping, heavenly, and majestic are just a few words to describe the floor to cieling view in our... more

The experience of Lomas was something of an adventure. After a long trip from the airport, we arrived at Panajachel and took a boat from there to the hotel. At the hotel dock, we had to climb some 300 steps to reach the actual hotel. My parents wanted to kill me because I booked this hotel and didn't tell them... more

From the moment we stepped off the launcha at the wharf at Lomas we were received great service. Andres, and one of the other workers, who were arriving for work on the same launcha, helped us with our bags as we climbed the steps to the hotel. The steps are a bit of a climb, but if you are in... more

I recently spent two nights at LdT and cannot say enough about the entire experience. I have stayed at other highly rated hotels on the lake, but my experience was lacking in one area or another. In one case the rooms were fantastic as were the views...but the staff was indifferent and the food was less than mediocre...another the cottages... more

There is very little I can add that hasn't already been said in previous reviews. Our 4 days in Lomas were the highlight of a 3 week holiday. The rooms are beautiful and large, the view is spectacular and the food is wonderful. It is simple, home cooked food with fresh and local ingredients. The hotel is kind of isolated... more

Simply an amazing experience. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to my friends. The view is unbeatable, the hosts are amazing, the food is great, lots of things to do, great walks and boat rides from the hotel, the rooms are nice, the pool is refreshing and the swimming down by the boat landing is fantastic. more

We've just stayed 2 days at Lomas, and loved it. The hotel is of course beautifully located, with a breathtaking view of the lake. It is indeed true that one has to climb a couple of hundred steps to get from the pier to the hotel. But that, for us, was a small price to pay for the view, and... more

We spent a wonderful three days at Lomas after Semana Santa in Antigua and Chichi. The views are unmatched from the rooms but our favorite was the view while eating breakfast on the lodge deck. We also ate dinners at the hotel as it is so far from towns. We found the food to be more than adequate - the... more

We stayed here for two nights in December. The view is simply spectacular and that's why we picked this place. To see the sunset and rise above the volacanoes in Lake Atitlan was a fantastic experience. Now for some practicalities: -if you have problems climbing up a TON of stairs, this isn't the place for you. Even if you can... more

First of all let me thank you very much for your very nice review on Lomas de Tzununá, the staff and ourselves!! Just one misunderstanding: we do not have any extra charge when payment is made by credit cards. The restaurant is only closed from 3 to 6 pm for cleaning purposes. All the best, Thierry and Maria
