We had a two bedroom condo including a sky kitchen upstairs with barbeque, sink and pergola. I believe all units have walled patios inside the gate for the unit and then a door from there into the unit. Extremely clean , new with modern kitchen with granit counters and all appliances. The resort is new and has lots of fountains on the grounds - grounds are desert like with cacti and small trees-no lawn. Pool is beautiful and clean and heated and nice hot tub - shade and sun areas by pool. The only drawback of the two bedroom condo, is that the second bedroom is VERY SMALL. It did not even have a closet and only 2 tiny bedside cabinets. We stayed with another couple & felt very uncomfortable that we had a nice spacious master bedroom, with huge bath, large walkin closet & lots of storage space. The 2nd bedroom would be fine for children, but if you're staying with another couple, I would spring for the 3 bedroom if you can swing it.

Town of Tubac is quaint, but...

Town of Tubac is great - small town of around 1000 people but over 90 upscale artsy stores and restaurants - Shopped almost every day - people even came from Tucson to shop., It is kind of an artist colony and stores are varied. Do not expect city nightlife as most things close early and open only at 10am. A lot of indian art and very good quality jewelery and one of the best...
