We checked in during off season with our dog. The staff were very accommodating and the rates are reasonable.
I highly recommend the Canyon Star restaurant; the food is excellent, and the service was good.

We picked this place for its proximity to the canyon (~10 minute drive) and the hunting lodge theme. When we showed up, we found that they had an arcade, which might be the perfect activity after having spent 8 hours in a car. Albeit expensive ($1 for basketball?), it basically made our stay.

Check in was quick and easy. The staff was very friendly. Hotel room was big, clean and comfortable. My son loved playing in the indoor pool. Internet was slow in the evening, but we had no problems using it the next morning. We would definitely stay here again.

Checked in early and visited the grand Canyon. Room was very clean and comfortable.

Located just outside the park and 2mins from the Grand Canyon Airport (highly recommend a Grand Canyon Helicopter flight).
Rooms were clean, decor is a bit "brown" but tidy. They were experiencing problems with the TV satellite during our stay but there's so much to do it wasn't really an issue.

The Grand Hotel was the perfect base for our visit to the Grand Canyon and northern Arizona. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, service at the bar and restaurant was excellent and the room was very comfortable. We would stay there again.

Booked during independence day weekend. The hotel is at tusayan, very near to grand canyon entrance. There are free buses ferrying people in and out of the national park to tusayan, but you need to ensure that you have the entrance ticket when re-entering.
Same applies for driving in and out of the park, keep your pass! We threw away...
