We were assigned room 4141 in the old section. We had requested a non smoking room and we were travelling with our crate-trainned beagle dog. We had to leave a $50 deposit before we were allowed to check in. The room had a very dirty rug. The sink drained slowly. The shower head was half falling apart which my husband... more

I stayed at this hotel in 2002 and found it as efficient as I did recently in Sept 2008. The room was nice, the pool was well kept and all was fine except the breakfast room. They offered a extensive breakfast but there were not enough tables. The hotel is aware of this problem because they put extra seating near... more

We stayed at the Red Feather because it was close to the Grand Canyon. Booked directly. I asked for the newer building, first floor. Paid in advance. - mistake. I got the second floor of the old motel. The stairs are creaky and the cement is breaking up. The room was dark and dreary. There was no coffee maker or... more

Nice location just outside NP South entrance. Room was clean and spacious. Pool was enjoyed by the kids. Breakfast organisation and room totally inadequqte for number of guests. Solution is to eat in your room. more

The Grand Canyon is extremely expensive compared to the rest of the National Parks in the four corner states - particularly for accommodation. This is the cheapest hotel we could find that was next to the Grand Canyon, but it was not at all cheap. Having paid that much, I had high hopes - and this hotel didn't quite live... more

Simple straightforward Mid-size hotel chain style hotel, little character but functional and very close to Canyon. Stayed here as part of an extended West Coast tour, and drove up from Las Vegas via Hoover Dam. Easy to find - and note Tusayan consists of about 10 buildings in total ( and 1 road) Easy and fast check in, booked ahead... more

For those who want to stay at a hotel while visiting the Grand Canyon, this hotel has a great location just outside the park. The rate was reasonable and was a good value. If you are thinking of bringing your pet along then you will have to stay at the motel portion which is located separately but just beside the... more

Booked a motel room here for a two night stay whilst touring the Canyon. Chose Tusayan becuase the trips we had booked all started from here early in the morning so it didn't make a lot of sense to stay in GCNP. Were pleased with the room. Two queens, A/C, TV etc. A nice touch was the sink/ vanity unit... more

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights the end of July. We chose to stay our of the Grand Canyon to avoid the crowds, and the hotel was about 7 miles away, and shuttle bues ran frequently to the park. The reception staff was friendly and efficient. and our room was ready. The room itself was... more

You have seen this room I am in before, we have all seen it. It is that hotel room that looks like a gazillion other American hotel rooms, those rooms that fail to thrill or even satisfy but here you ended up, either through lack of choice, imagination or luck. The room air conditioner is noisy and is of course... more
