Stayed @ La Posada for a couple of nights & wishe we had had a couple more. The hotel was beautiful....stayed in the east wing, nice large room with couch & chairs. Beautifully tiled bathroom with jacuzzi. This was a nice stop to go to the Painted Desert, Petrified Forest, & the Crater Rim Walk. It was nice to have... more

My husband and I stayed overnight at La Posada in Nov. 2009. The hotel is a restoration of a Fred Harvey railroad hotel from the grand era of passenger train travel. After reading all the critical raves, I thought we were in for a real treat, but the whole experience was sadly lacking -- lots of hype, but the reality... more

La Posada is a real gem of a hotel in a town which otherwise has little going for it. An historic railroad hotel designed by Mary Jane Colter 80 years ago and saved and renovated by the current owners, it is a refreshing change from chain hotels. Restoration has been done sympathetically and the public rooms are stunning, including open... more

I read about this hotel in a travel guide I bought which told me that it was worth going out of my way to visit this hotel. Having been, I couldnt agree more. Its a wonderful snapshot of history, and even though its out of the way its well worth going to. I only stayed one night, but met many... more

The Winslow, Az corner made famous by the Eagles song is fun to see but the real deal in Winslow is the La Posada Hotel. When I read on Trip Advisor that we could have a king bed room for $109 per night I was skeptical. How good could a hotel be with a price like that? Answer:REALLY GOOD!! Being... more

We recently stayed at this hotel and it is a lovely old building and the gardens are perfect for relaxing in the evening but we were kept awake most of the night by the people in the next room watching TV. They were obviously drinking and did probably have the TV on quite loud but still the walls must be... more

We live in Arizona and this hotel was selected because it was on our way back from a 6 week travel vacation, has history, & has received good ratings on-line. The hotel room (#211-queen bed) was beautiful and the food at the on-site restaurant "The Turquoise Room" fanatastic! Even bought a recipe book featuring the hotel restaurant best. The only... more

Not much to add - so glad my husband learned about this hotel from our local newspaper. We had visited the Petrified Forest and stayed 2 nights at the Wigwam Motel (VERY different, but equally unique experience). Had actually reserved a third night there, but cancelled to stay at LaPosada. So glad we did. It was a wonderful place to... more

We pulled off the highway and followed our GPS directions to the hotel. We weren't sure it was the right area until we saw the sign. As I moved up the walk to the entrance I noticed broken windows on the left wing and started to really wonder.....once I passed through the main door, all doubt passed. Everything was wonderful.... more
