I was in Yuma with my Grandmother and her friend and we decided on the spur of the moment to stay for a couple days. I drove in to the first motel that had a vacancy sign. We paid $110 for 2 nights and proceeded to our room.

It was the most disgusting room I have ever been in. Everything in the place was old and it didn't look like it had been dusted for years. The grime and dirt were everywhere. Since it was already about 9 at night my fellow travelers didn't want to create a scene and try to find another place although I was certainly willing.

We cleaned it up a little, got our new blankets that we had purchased in Los Algadones and used them to sleep in.

The next morning I went to talk to them about refunding our 2nd night, ready to fight for it if necessary. They didn't argue at all, just handed back the money. I'm sure they have had many people leave sooner than they said they were going to.
